This article describes how to clear cache / cookies in multiple different browsers for both PC & Mac. Doing this can resolve browser issues such as being unable to login to the portal or other website. This can also help for non-MC websites.
Instructions
Firefox
- At the top right of the Firefox window, click the Menu button
, go over to the History menu and select Clear Recent History.
- Click the drop-down menu next to When: and choose Everything.
- Under History please make sure to have Cookies and site data, and Temporary cached files and pages selected.
- Finally, click the Clear button and the window will close and the items you've selected will be cleared.
Chrome
- At the top right of the Google Chrome window. click the Menu button
and select Delete Browsing Data. (It may also be under More Tools in older versions)
- Click the drop-down menu next to Time range and choose All time.
- Please make sure to have Cookies and other site data and Caches images and files selected.
- Finally, click the Delete data button and the window will close and the items you've selected will be cleared.
Safari
- At the top of the screen, click on History, then on the bottom click Clear History.
- Click the drop-down menu next to Clear and choose all history.
- Finally, click the Clear history button and the window will close and the items you've selected will be cleared.
- In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Settings, then click Privacy.
- Click Manage Website Data.
- Select one or more websites, then click Remove or Remove All.
Edge
- At the top right of the Edge window. click the Menu button
- Click Delete browsing data and Choose what to clear.
- Change the Time range at the top to All Time and check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files. Then, click Clear now.
Internet Explorer
- At the top right of the Internet Explorer window, click the Gear button
and select Internet Options.
- Near the bottom of the screen look for a Delete button and click it.
- Click Temporary Internet files and Website files and Cookies and website data.
- Then, click Delete.
