Back up your data to OneDrive

Body

  1. Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar

  2. Select the Help & Settings > Settings.

  3. On the next window, click the Backup tab, then click the Manage backup button

Make sure that the Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders are all checked, then click the Start backup button

Depending on the amount of files on your computer, this backup may take up to an hour. You can also manually backup other folders by copying and pasting them to your OneDrive folder.

After the imaging process is completed and you have logged in to your computer, simply repeat the steps above and your Desktop, Documents, and Pictures will be restored. Any file or folder which you manually backed up will remain in your OneDrive.
